Yes, it's very sad. He did so many things so well.
When Willie Rushton died, the other panellists on ISIHAC said that Humph going would be the end, because it wouldn't be the same without him. And after listening to the very first series, some of which had Barry Cryer chairing, I'd have to agree, even if John Cleese and Jo Kendall were regular panellists.
It's not much, probably a stopgap until they can put together something proper, but Radio 4 is broadcasting a "classic" Willie Rushton era ISIHAC at 12 today. (Not much because they're constantly on Radio 7 now.) And if you missed it, there's a listen again link to the Today show which had tributes from those who knew Humph at the top of the Radio 4 home page.
