We got a Hugo nomination, Revenge of the Sith didn't. La la la la la.

(I know, I know, I'm sure he doesn't care, or know, but like Luke Skywalker, I do care, tee hee hee).

Outpost Gallifrey is claiming Lucas Back In Anger is a short film, though it is citing http://www.laconiv.org/ which is by far the worst designed web site I have ever seen, so who can tell if they say that there or not.

Indeed the LA website is outstandingly bad - but they haven't put the nominations up there at all yet (I think it's not officially out of embargo actually) so Outpost Gallifrey can't blame it on them. I think OG just made a wild guess at what it might be. If I can be bothered to correct them I might inform them that it had a Dalek and a Cyberman in key roles (including possibly the first ever Dalek/Cyber slash live on stage) so is another score for the Whovian camp.

I did e-mail them and they corrected it right away bless them (though they didn't mention the Dalek/Cyber slash).

Congrats! And with a 3-way split for the Who vote...

Not entirely sure who'd vote for Father's Day rather than Empty Child / Doctor Dances, but there's nowt as queer as folk etc.

Well alright, not actually us personally, but we were Luke and Leia in Lucas Back in Anger the Sorenson/Raines production at Worldcon which has made the ballot for Short Form Dramatic, and we did do tiny amounts of script tweaking. Cynical people might point to the fact that this has historically required around 25 nominations, and that there were about 20 cast and crew (not all of them eligible to nominate though) so this is not the world's greatest achievement, but still, we got a Hugo nomination and George Lucas didn't, so yah boo, sucks.
