Spoiler alert!
Dec. 5th, 2005 01:04 pmI am a tragic Christmas addict, and always make a point of buying the Xmas Radio Times THE INSTANT IT COMES OUT - because obviously that will make Christmas come sooner - so I can advise all spoiler-phobic Dr Who fans to get a copy now, (you _will_ want your own copy so you can enter the competition and win a real dalek (no, I don't know where I'm going to put it either)) wrap it in cellophane and put it on top of a tall wardrobe to be opened on Boxing Day.
No it doesn't give away actual plot twists, but it does reveal much more about the plot of the Xmas day episode than I for one would ideally want to know.
While I'm posting - TV programme of the month is The Future is Wild - currently being repeated at 10am weekdays. I don't know how I came to miss this first time around, but it's a cracker - Small and I are both learning things, and Tiny gets to look at pictures of fishies and birdies (although it's not always easy to tell which is which - my favourite is the guillemot-based whale thing). I know it has its flaws - but it gains considerably by comparison with the deeply cheesy recent Channel 4 show on aliens.

Date: 2005-12-05 09:16 pm (UTC)The Future is Wild. I saw some the first time round - thanks for the note that it's being repeated. My favourites were (a) the pathos of last mammals and (b) the fun of intelligent squids swinging through the trees. (both of which you may not have got to yet). Monkey-squids. Clearly the way forward.
With proper-zoologist hat on, I was never outraged. Which puts it pretty high in the scale of these things. All is fair in extrapolation. Nice to see they base it on plate tectonics to build those future worlds; and all assume we don't survive, natch.
