iO5 - should I do it?

Is there any reason why I shouldn't update my iPhone 4 to the new operating system? He tells me it will turn it into a brick, but then He does not trust Apple or its works in general.

I did a test upgrade to my iPad and it worked fine. Have not updated my iPhone yet though.

Just make sure it's backed up first, and you'll be fairly safe.

For me (and a few others) the new Reminders app drained the battery in a few hours trying and failing to fetch my task list from the server. If you've got an Exchange or Gmail account on the phone you may have to disable Reminder sync to keep it usable.
