Damn. Having now made myself aware of who he is, finding the famous (but somehow not seen by me previously) letter to the subs (and their reply), I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment.

that a former Miss Wales would be involed with, afaik, the only Welsh person involved in football: like what happened a few years a go with the Swedes.

Don't know what the Giles Coren has to do with it.

Giles Coren was the individual who was threatened with a contempt of court action (and, by extension, prison) for splashing Giggs' name on Twitter, and it was that which led John Hemming to name Giggs in Parliament, on the grounds that imprisoning a "real person" (sort of) was beyond the pale. He has a point, but it might have been more fun to wait until just after they'd banged up GC.
