October - Booh!
New Flickr upload allowance - Yay! (I'm saving the pro account for a Christmas present from my Grandmother who always sends cash - ditto Livejournal I suspect)

Digital camera + Flickr does make me take pictures I would never normally take, eg

P9260207 A lorry full of wheelbarrows

P9270225 Proof that some things remain the same on the Berliner Grauniad

P9270210 That-nice-Bruce-Parry-who-does-Tribe in my 6th form photo (don't bother looking for me - I was on the other side of the group). I have to say, if asked who out of my year would get his own prime time terrestrial telly show, he'd have been jolly far down the list.

I've also done a couple of happy snappy atmospheric shots of Dungeness, but they're friends-locked.

The cover of Society Guardian two weeks ago had a (possibly regular) "What other job could this office johnny do?" column which started with: John is an auditor (or something) in local government, "earning £300,000 p.a." and went on to suggest a bunch of jobs that paid 30-32K p.a.: I reckon he should stay where is.

Are we to guess or is it very obvious? I say he is front row centre with a hand on his leg.

Congratulations - you have won this week's star prize of, um, well maybe I'll put the other half up and people can play spot the penguin (not too embarassing a photo).

Is this you?

The scary thing is that you appear to have Niall Harrison in a wig sitting behind your right shoulder, in a Sapphie and Steel fashion given that he must have been about eight when Picocon 6 occurred. Maybe his fan-fu is now so powerful he is able to attend conventions in the past?

Oh dear god yes

Scarily enough I can only be absolutely certain because I recognise the satchel at my feet.
Not sure who the mystery Niall-a-like with the argyll socks is - the guy with the blue shirt and dodgy stonewash jeans next to him is a schoolfriend of mine from CUSFS.
I guess I'd expect to look very different, what's shocking is how much younger Dave Langford looks - it must have been a very very long time ago.

What's shocking is how big Dave Langford's hair was.
